First I'd like to congratulate you for not using the Skin Generator. Secondly I feel that the contrast in the skin is not great enough so I suggest making the text lighter along with some aspects of the skin like the table bg. At first I liked the hover effect but after a while it does get a bit annoying so I suggest you change it to a standard underline or a change of colour. The submenu gradient is quite good however I don't see a gradient for the userlinks which in this skin looks left out in my opinion. The maintitle is probably the let down on the skin, 1) it is too small heightwise 2) it is too flat I suggest you get a 31px maintitle and add a gradient to the background of the maintitle in your image program instead of just a single colour block. The shapes at the end of the maintitle aren't making the maintitle flat however the oval shape is making the maintitle look very flat so I suggest removing that. I like your titlemedium however it makes the flat maintitle look even flatter so I suggest you fix that by doing the above. Also I suggest you never make the titlemedium larger than the maintitle unless you're trying a theme that needs it to be. Looking at your portal I find nothing wrong and it is flawless IMO. Nice skin overall. Keep skinning.

That skin is PDC (Pretty Damned Cool). I disagree with amberon's contrast comment, but she does have a point about the MT being flat. Otherwise, it's ace for a first attempt without uasing a generator. Nice One. |

Ok, I'll change that, but I'm going to keep it in certain areas still. (such as on the submenu)
OK, I'll add a grad and see how that does
I wanted it to be smaller than usual... Trying something a little different... But If you really think that it would look better larger... then... I'll try it Actually, The MT is supposed to be larger but I think I set the padding too low...
 Hmm?... It is a grad... The two colors are just very close...I use MS word to make all the grads and images. I don't have photoshop or anything similar.
Hmm... Maybe I'll try another shape for that... Ok... With all of that, everything else is good?... Including DR2, right? |
