universal Posts: 1,452 Group: Members Member #261,475 Joined: March 31, 2007	I'm sure someone had suggested this previously, but I couldn't find such a topic so I went ahead and posted this up Anyway, I think the expansion into social networking websites (Twitter, Facebook etc) is a fabulous idea, and I'm curious as to if there will be such a move to MySpace? After considering it's features, it would be a perfect addition to the already impressive communication effort. Including the bulletin and status update field (which serves a similar purpose to the Twitter feed), the website has many benefits to keep users updated with the current events here at the Theme Zone. For example, if there was the addition of a new service to the board, multiple bulletins and status updates could be made on MySpace to entice infrequent visitors to stop back in more often. Hoping to see this idea considered, and even incorporated in the future.

They just happen to do it way better than Myspace.

Maybe TZ could set up a Twitter account like News Broadcast? =o this place has a twitter... it's got a feed output on the bloody top right of every page. and having a myspace wouldn't make sense, because this place isn't a person, a musician, a comedian, a filmaker or any of those other things on myspace. for the same reason, it'd make very little sense to have a youtube account.

I was bored one evening so I assisted Locke with adding it.

It doesn't need to fit under any of those categories as it would simply fall under the general aspect. I don't use Facebook, nor Twitter, and I'm sure there are other users who are the same too, so a MySpace page for the TZ would be perfect.

On Facebook, you can become a "Fan", not like theres an option for that on MySpace, kind of rendering it useless in the case of TZ. I can see how it would make sense to have one, but at the same time if you think about it some more... there's no sense in having one for TZ.

MySpace seems as though it would only work for people, whereas Facebook allow fan pages to be created.

I don't think it would a bad idea for the TZ to have a MySpace page considering we already have a Facebook and Twitter feed, but it doesn't seem like a very big deal one way or another.

An entire myspace page? Yeah let's think on this... Myspace has information listed like this on a user profile. Quote: Interests - General - Music - Movie - TV - Books - Heroes Details * Status: * Here for: * Hometown: * Orientation: * Body type: * Ethnicity: * Religion: * Zodiac Sign: * Children: * Smoke / Drink: * Education: * Occupation: Now ask yourself this, what logical reason would you have for filling that information, in which Myspace is based upon, for a website/forum? Thus making Myspace, for anything other than a group, a pretty dim idea, no offense. Personally, I think the Twitter page, and the Facebook group are enough as it is.

Settled In Posts: 354 Group: Members Member #346,617 Joined: June 13, 2008	I also have hated myspace, the un-needed things such as music and a specific layout poor me, and cause more lag then going onto a facebook or twitter page. Random people buddy you more often on myspace although it doesn't spam you as much as facebook does. I don't think TZ should get a myspace, Twitter and facebook are fine.
