TZ Frequent Posts: 404 Group: Members Member #138,578 Joined: January 14, 2006	I was just thinking about something a couple minutes ago and I'm not sure if someone has ever suggested it... The idea is that you can create another forum (I'm not sure where to suggest you put it at) and in there people can make a topic for themselves and provide links to all the resources they've made. I understand that it would be difficult for people who have submitted hundreds of graphics (some of the staff, for instance) and that it could be a tiny hassle, but the pros outweigh the cons. At least the way I see it. pros: 1) Some people like to have a url pointing to a favorite graphic or theme that they have made, but what if they have a lot that their proud of? They could just link to their own bay (topic). 2) It would be easier for members to find graphics. Instead of having to look through all the different forums that differentiate between what type of graphic or theme, the color, etc., they would just have to find the topic of the person they know had made said resource. 3) It's not that hard to set up. New forum --> New Guidelines/Template for said forum --> People make their topic --> List all their work... 4) It would be easier than going through people's 'old topics' because you wouldn't have to sort through all the other topics they've made. 5) Most designers have a quality or a style that they stick too. So if a member is looking through the graphics forum and finds something they like, or a style, instead of having to go on there username and scanning through all those topics, they can just click on a link in their signature and viola, everything that person has made. Of course, this is only a suggestion, but I can see this improving the TZ a LOT and definitely making the forum way more user-friendly. Edited by dzNick, Jun 25 2009, 01:10 PM.

I'll post it here, and then edit my original post. It would be easier than going through people's 'old topics' because you wouldn't have to sort through all the other topics they've made. I doubt everyone would would submit their list though which makes this a bit dead. We always have the search system in place for members who want to search. Sadly, it's not currently being used to the best, mostly because we don't have that many themes yet.

You'd only need some quick url tags added onto your topic every time you make something. =p And there's a lot to look through when you try to find something by going through someone's topics. Most designers have a quality or a style that they stick too. So if a member is looking through the graphics forum and finds something they like, or a style, instead of having to go on there user name and scanning through all those topics, they can just click on a link in their signature and viola, everything that person has made.

People would make their own topics, if they WANT, and they would only put what they want to in their topics. They might not even choose to put old work in there and decide to only put in new things. I wasn't expecting Kman to come back just to index his work.

It wouldn't be mandatory. It would just be a topic of your work. You wouldn't have to post ALL the work you've ever done, that was just a suggestion. =p It could be a huge showcase for all your work.
