i know you guys are "official", and all, but i think you guys are taking away from the forum somewhat. i mean, it seems like you guys (zb support) came in here and ruffled up some feathers. i'm not saying that it's bad or anything, but i think the changes you guys have made have taken away from the forum somewhat. just because this forum was the biggest resource forum on the zathyus trail, doesn't mean that it had to change over to a more "official" resource forum. sure, everyone thought of this forum as an "official" resource forum, but now it seems like you guys have taken all the fun stuff out of the place, and it's not AS fun to post here as it used to be. i will always think that you guys took locke's forum away from him. |

They certainly haven't taken "my" forum away from me.  I have been attempting to draw them in for years and finally have achieved that aim (though I would have preferred it under better circumstances).I would appreciate if you could explain how the "fun" has been "taken away." Despite the changes, much of the day-to-day hasn't policies and procedures haven't changed between their arrival, time here, or before. |

well, it just doesn't feel as if you're the head admin anymore. i missed the times when you were the head of the forum. now, it seems as if you've given it away, in a sense. |

Would you prefer I posted the announcements? Would that assuage your concerns? (I'm guessing from your perspective that's really the only thing that could give you that impression?) I assure you I'm really happy with the setup we have now and the support I have from Nicola, Stephen, and the rest of the folks from the Support Board. |

Well, all of the changes are still pretty new. I don't see how it'd hurt to give everything some fair time.  Change isn't always a bad thing; it's kind of inevitable. I'll admit, I was a bit shocked when I opened up my TZ bookmark to find that I had to re-login to Zathyus Networks Resources, though.

It's important to note that we didn't just waltz in. This was a lengthy consultation process between the ZN staff, and the TZ staff, and at the time, the TZ was a lot worse than it might have seemed, with administrators leaving, and the community dying.
The layout is getting different, yes, but this is necessary, as it makes sense to try and keep ZNR and ZNS consistent with each other. |

I think the layout is better overall. But it feels odd with InvisionFree stuff having a database for graphics whereas the ZetaBoards area does not. |

So I have a question, are we going to keep the same Themes with the change over, or are we going to get a brand new top secret Theme that none of the members know about? I guess if it's top secret, you really won't tell anyone... but still... that's my question. lol. It just seemed like with a brand new change there would be a brand new Theme, cause that's what happened when we became ZBTZ, and idk.. it might have happened when we became IFSZ, cause if I remember from what people told me correctly this used to be like a general chat forum or something right? Also, i'm with Sith on that one, it does look odd with Invisionfree having a graphics forum and ZetaBoards doesn't. Since the graphics can be used on both, I think that forum should go in the design sector  but that's just me.

Changes are made for a reason so I learn to accept them and move on even if I dislike them (though if it's a real bad move in my opinion I'll bring up the topic). Everything seems to be running smoothly nowadays anyway. The only disappointment I've noticed is the removal of the groups over the past few years - I used to love all the different teams, now with the three, it's just not as good in my opinion (strange, I know aha). |

From what I noticed, if "we" could gather all the Rules of every even small forum here, "we' could make whole constitution. Even Support Board isn't that much formal like this place is. Personally I'm not against this since most of there Rules I cannot break or even use for myself. From the other side, even if there is a bunch of other additional Rules here than at Support Board, this forum is more for making users relaxed. Somehow I don't feel as strict as I could be at Support Board. For myself, keep going in that way, Owners of this place consider it as a right way. |

Well if you think about it, we need those rules in the separate forums, because most of the forums with rules, are the request forums. The request forums need the rules in order to have guidelines so that the RAs and the Designers don't have 5,000000000 different requests going on at once and 5,0000000000 different people complaining about their requests not getting done. |

Don't You think better could be gather all the Rules into one place instead of spreading them around the board? ZNR primo, is a big forum, secundo is an official Zathyus Networks board, it may has Rules 5 pages long. Any new user is (or rather should be) aware, that won't encounter 1 sentence long Rules. More, if Rules could be gathered in one place, that could be easier for both of users who are giving a request (they have everything in one place, so they know exactly what they can request, and they know requirements of all possible kind of requests) and for users, who are resolving requests (they could have everything in one click mouse page without going around the board). |

It might seem nice to gather the rules in one place, but whenever I was a new user, I barely wanted to go to read the topics with the rules with them, let alone a rules page that is five pages long. I was an example of a lazy user, which is the worst case scenario, but when making stuff like long rules pages, or the like, then you have to plan for the worst case scenario, and all types of users. With the rules being short and in the respective areas of where they cover, then 1) It just makes more sense to have the rules where they govern. 2) They are shorter so it makes them easier to read all of the rules before you post, so that your topic doesn't get closed or whatever. |

Having rules in just one place will only lead to less people reading them - having the rules where they're relevant means people are more likely to take note when they visit that particular section. The ZB section will be getting a graphics gallery of it's own at some point. It's just a bit of a job moving everything over without disrupting people's use of the forum. The new layout is more appropriate for users that are just here looking for resources, which ultimately, is what this board is for and what the majority of the boards users do. If they want an InvisionFree skin, it's more obvious as to where they're located, the same goes for ZB Themes.@ Alex D; a new theme is in the pipeline.  I would suggest that people wait for the changes to sink in before complaining about them. Who knows? After thinking about it for a bit, you might realize that change is the logical solution. |
