Shoutbox Gone

Yeah, I went there
 I just noticed that the shoutbox here has disappeared yet again.

Were we that bad? :(

Perhaps someone can explain why it's gone again?

 The shoutbox was never meant to be permanent. It was only there for testing purposes. Its eventual removal was inevitable.

With that said, there will be a Shoutbox-Removal Grief Counseling group meeting on Thursday.

It wasn't used much but I think we might see it's permanent use (perhaps another staff member can correct me here) when the Beta is actually done.

Seriously though, I do too, because it gave me to talk to some of the members that don't really post that much.

 Part of the problem with the shoutbox is that some features are not finished. Key among them is the word filter. As a result, it requires constant moderation to ensure a safe environment for everyone on the board. After several members abused it whether it was avoiding the filter, posting spam or displaying inappropriate behavior, it was removed. Perhaps when the shoutbox is finished, it could return. But for now, our testing phase is complete.

A) Find a Java Client
B)Download mIRC
C)Use Chatzilla. I have no idea how to use that and I love my Firefox lol.
