V-Moda Crossfade LP

Personally, I prefer headphones over earphones. Headphones have much richer sound and in my opinion are much more comfortable. The new crossfades I bought are absolutely astonishing.

Right now I'm using the Gumy earphones as well as the standard ones Apple provides with its iPods. I really want to get a pair of the Bose Noise-Cancelling Headphones though. I've tried them out, and they are amazing!

The thing with Bose, they're similar to Beats by Dr. Dre in a sense. Let me explain;

As most of us know, Beats by Dr. Dre are absolutely horrible - for their price. Spending hundreds of dollars on those guys, you're paying for crappy noise cancelling, majestically low quality sound and poor build. You're basically paying for the brand. This however also goes for Bose, although not as bad as Beats, you're still getting ripped off. This whole evil marketing scheme is getting to many people, that of which include many of my peers at school (Unfortunately. Although I can't blame them, imagine being me and having "BEATS ARE MUCH BETTER YOU'RE STUPID" shoved in my face almost every day.) So basically, you're paying the price of amazing headphones, for much lower quality headphones. Bose's quiet comforts are neat, but their sound isn't all that great. Compared to cheaper headphones, of course they're better. If you could get Beats by Dr. Dre for like, 90$ or Bose QuietComforts for half it's price, I would buy it. The reason why I dislike Bose QCs is because noise-cancelling isn't really... necessary. As you'll find if you get used to better headphones.

If you want a bang for your buck, those headphones I got is a good place to start. They're $199 on the V-Moda site, but I was able to get them for around $100 on Amazon.

I'd suggest using this guy's website to choose a nice pair of headphones;
http://headphonemecca.com/

I'm an absolute music-addict. When I listen to music, I want to hear everything. I want to hear those sharp highs, strong mids and rich lows.

Just as a last note; I wouldn't ever buy any pair of headphones over $300. Even if they're worth $300+. The reason for this is that, most of the time, when headphones are this good, you won't hear a difference unless you have an amp. Who carries around an amp, amirite? So having $300 headphones would be like, staying at home. The power supply required for the majority of these headphones are pretty insane.

If you want a pair of headphones with fantastic quality at a very reasonable price.. I'd look into the Klipsch S4's. They're earbuds but I swear they have the sound of a full headset... not to mention they're $70-$80 on Amazon. I'm continually amazed by the quality of the sound (especially the bass).

I only bought them because they are the top rated earbuds on CNET, despite their low price. The only downside is a pretty flimsy wire, but I give them a good bit of abuse.

The S4's are amazing. The S5's... not so much. :/
